Hello there!

I am Cara, a physical therapist with a love for movement, fitness, nutrition and overall health.  I know, so is everyone these days right?  That’s great! I love how interested everyone is becoming in wellness and clean living!

Knowledge is power and there is a lot of that going around out there, so much that it can be overwhelming and at times contradicting.  My goal is to simplify the key components of what I think makes for a healthy life and share them with you.  On this blog I share physical therapy tricks, fitness tips, paleo friendly recipes and my favorite “clean” home and beauty creations!

I’m sure you want to know more about who I am to be dishing out this information.  Well, I was raised in a small beach town in San Diego, CA and have been in the ocean and playing sports my whole life.  I have always had a desire to help people and decided at age 15 that I wanted to be a physical therapist.  I went on to get a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a board certified specialization in Orthopedics.  I have had the profound privilege to assist people in improving function, relieving pain and returning to sport and lifestyles all while continuing my journey of learning.

Along the way I have had my own trials and tribulations with nutrition, exercise programs and training strategies.  I am not claiming to be perfect nor will I ever (who wants that anyways), but I do think I have cracked a few codes!

1.  Simple movements done well can be a great base for fitness and injury prevention.

2.  Clean, fresh ingredients can make very simple and delicious meals.

3.  Natural products found in your pantry can be safely and effectively used around the house, for hygiene and beauty!
